Admission

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must satisfy the following criteria to apply for this programme.

  • General, NC-OBC and EWS Category:

          (i) Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
          (ii) Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2025.

  • SC, ST and DAP Category:
    (i) Minimum 55% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
    (ii) Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2025.

    Note 1: Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of June 2025 can also apply, subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria after the declaration of results (only in case of XIIth   standard) as mentioned above. If selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the programme provisionally. At the time of registration for the programme, such candidates must produce X and XII standard mark sheets (securing minimum marks, i.e. 60% for General, EWS, and NC-OBC or 55% for SC, ST, and DAP) along with school leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s admission offer stands cancelled.

    Note 2: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of the best five subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grade points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to the percentage of marks of the best five subjects would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.

Selection Procedure:

Stage I: Online Registration :  

(i) Interested applicants who fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria are required to fill out the registration form that aims at evaluating the applicant’s proficiency in
academics as well as in extra-curricular activities.
(ii) The eligible applicants will pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 4,937 (Four
thousand nine hundred thirty-seven only)

Stage II: IPM Aptitude Test (IPM AT 2025)

(i) All the interested applicants will undergo IIM Rohtak’s IPM Aptitude Test that will examine the aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in English of the applicant.
(ii) IPM AT 2025 to be conducted on May 05, 2025 (Tentative) from 9:00 AM onwards.
(iii) IPM Aptitude Test will comprise of following sections:

In case the candidate also selects the Integrated Programme in Law (IPL) option while registering for IPM AT 2025, such candidates will also appear for legal reasoning as following:

Stage III: Shortlisting and Personal Interview (PI)

(i) The shortlisted applicants will be called for a Personal Interview on the basis of minimum eligibility criteria and IPM AT Score 2025.
(ii) The announcement of Call for Personal Interviews (PI) will be made by the end of May 2025 (Tentative).
(iii) The candidates during their personal interviews will be judged on the basis of their academics, general  awareness, and communication skills.
(iv) The interviews are proposed to be held in the first or second Week of June 2025 (Tentative)

Stage IV: Announcement of Selection List

(i) The Final Merit List will be generated based on the composite score of IPM AT 2025, Past Academics, and Personal Interview. The final merit list for the admissions is prepared as per the weightage given below:

(ii) The Institute will tentatively announce the merit list by the second week of July 2025.  The offer of admission to the candidate will be made strictly on the basis of merit/ rank list and availability of seats in each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST & DAP) as per reservation rules of Govt. of India.

Stage V: Provisional Admission to IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30)

(i) All selected candidates will receive a provisional offer letter for admission from [email protected] on their registered email ID shortly after the merit list declaration. A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Rohtak (IIM-R) and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to deposit Rs. 1,00,000/- as the OAA
i.e. Offer Acceptance Amount (or as mentioned in the Offer Letter) through the Institute’s admission portal only. An automated receipt and a text message of the transaction will be shared by the associated bank on the registered email ID/ mobile no. of the candidate.

(ii) On acceptance of the admission offer and payment of OAA, the candidate will receive his/her confirmation letter for provisional admission to IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30) on his/her registered email ID. The paid OAA will be adjusted with the First Year Programme Fee. Such candidates will be required to pay the 1st instalment of the First
Year Programme Fee (as mentioned in the confirmation letter) through the Institute’s admission portal only. If a candidate fails to pay the 1st instalment of First Year Programme Fees by the stipulated date mentioned in the admission confirmation letter, the seat will be cancelled.

(iii) The fee structure for IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30) is available on the Institute’s website.

Stage VI: Reporting for joining the IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30)

(i) Final selected candidates who have deposited OAA and got a confirmation letter for provisional admission will be required to report physically (on the stipulated date and time) on the Institute campus for registration, followed by physical verification of educational documents and other testimonials as per checklist (in case of online registration, the documents will be verified virtually).
(ii) The academic session will tentatively begin in the third week of August 2025.
(iii) The hostel room allocation to the candidate will be done on a sharing basis. Hostel rooms for the DAP category candidates will be arranged on the ground floor (preferably).

Note:

(i) The admission criteria for IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30) may be changed before the declaration of the results.
(ii) The information in this document is applicable only for the admissions cycle IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30). IIM Rohtak reserves the right to change, modify or adopt any new admission process that it deems necessary at any point.
(iii) Any dispute concerning Admission for the IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30) would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Rohtak only.
(iv) You will receive all admission offers in the form of a letter duly signed by the Controller of Examinations of IIM Rohtak sent from [email protected]. Any offer received from any other email is completely invalid and is not official. All admissions to IIM Rohtak are provisional till you have completed all formalities upon reporting to the Institute.
(v) If at any point of time it is found that the information provided by the candidate is false, incorrect, or   misrepresented, the admission offer will stand cancelled.
(vi) IIM Rohtak reserves the right to change, modify or adopt any new admissions process that it deems necessary at any point.

Refund Policy for IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30)

The last Date for any withdrawal of provisional admission will be ‘On or before the date of Registration’ (online/ on campus, as the case may be). The entire fees received from the student, after deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1000/- (one thousand only), will be refunded to the candidate by the mode of bank transfer to the candidate’s own savings bank account provided by the candidate. The refund requests will be accepted only through the Institute’s admission portal.

Refunds will be made automatically within 150-180 days from the date of registration of the programme. Please provide your own (i.e. candidate’s) correct banking details (Beneficiary Name, Saving Bank Account Number, Bank Name, IFSC code) through the Institute’s admission portal.
The Institute takes no responsibility in case the banking details provided by you are erroneous. Refund request(s) received from any other mode apart from the above-mentioned Institute’s admission result portal will not be considered under any circumstance. No refund requests will be entertained after the registration or the date and time mentioned in the offer letter for provisonal admission.

Total no. of seats:

Total no. of seats for IPM Batch 07 (Session 2025-30) will be 198 (including 10% of the total seats will be offered to EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidates). The offer of admission to the candidate will be made strictly based on merit/rank list and availability of seats in each category (Gen, SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS & DAP) as per reservation rules of Govt. of India.

Hostel Allocation:

IIM Rohtak offers full-time residential IPM programme. Therefore, the Institute provides hostel rooms to the students on a sharing basis with the following facilities:
a.  A.C. Rooms
b.  Mess facility
c.  Washing machines for washing of select clothing only

Shuttle bus service from the campus:

Institute provides shuttle bus service between the campus and Rohtak city to facilitate pick and drop to the students. IPM students can use this facility once a week on a designated day from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Medical/ Ambulance Service:

IIM Rohtak provides medical/ ambulance services through the empanelment of third-party service providers/ hospitals available nearest to the campus. Students may get ambulance service in case of any emergency and visit the recommended hospitals anytime. The information will be conveyed to the students when they arrive on campus.
